COMMERCIAL FLOORING

COMMERCIAL EPOXY FLOORING CALGARY.

High-traffic floors for shops, warehouses, retail spaces, and light industrial facilities. Diamond-profiled concrete, commercial-grade coatings, minimal downtime. Same owner-operated standards we bring to every residential job.

INDUSTRIES WE SERVE

COMMERCIAL USE CASES

We have installed commercial epoxy in all of these environments across Calgary and surrounding areas.

AUTO SHOPS & MECHANICS

Oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, hot tires, jack stands, creeper chairs. Flake and quartz systems handle all of it. Most shops choose flake for the look and the easy cleanup.

WAREHOUSES & DISTRIBUTION

Forklift traffic, pallet jacks, heavy racking loads. We spec thicker builds and harder topcoats for warehouse environments. Fast-cure polyaspartic means minimal downtime between install and operation.

RETAIL & SHOWROOMS

First impressions matter. Metallic epoxy turns your floor into a conversation piece. Flake systems offer a professional look that hides scuffs from foot traffic and display cases.

GYMS & FITNESS STUDIOS

Dropped weights, sweat, cleaning chemicals, rubber mats. We install coatings that handle impact without chipping and resist the harsh cleaners gyms use daily.

LIGHT INDUSTRIAL

Manufacturing floors, assembly areas, clean rooms. Quartz broadcast provides maximum slip resistance even when wet. Chemical-resistant topcoats handle solvents and degreasers.

OFFICE & COMMERCIAL INTERIORS

Lobbies, hallways, break rooms, common areas. Solid colour and metallic systems create a modern, seamless look that is easier to maintain than tile or carpet and lasts significantly longer.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

NOT JUST A BIGGER GARAGE.

Commercial floors face different challenges than residential. Heavier loads, harsher chemicals, higher traffic volume, and tighter timelines.

HIGHER TRAFFIC RATINGS

Commercial systems are built to handle forklift traffic, pallet jacks, and constant foot traffic without wearing through.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Rated for automotive fluids, degreasers, and industrial solvents that would destroy a standard residential coating.

PHASED INSTALLATION

We can install in sections so your business keeps running. Weekend and after-hours installs available.

WHAT SEPARATES A COMMERCIAL INSTALL

Here is what separates a commercial install from a garage job.

01

TRAFFIC CLASS

Residential garages see one or two cars a day. Commercial spaces see forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and constant foot traffic. We specify coating thickness and topcoat hardness based on your actual traffic load - not a generic recommendation.

02

CURE SCHEDULE

A residential garage can sit empty for 72 hours while the floor cures. Your business cannot. We offer fast-cure polyaspartic systems that significantly reduce downtime compared to standard epoxy. Weekend installs keep your weekdays running.

03

SURFACE PREP

Commercial concrete is often harder, older, and more contaminated than residential slabs. Oil stains, old sealers, tire marks, adhesive residue - all of it has to come off. We diamond grind to a CSP 3 profile and degrease until the concrete is clean enough to bond.

04

MOISTURE

Large commercial slabs are more prone to moisture vapour transmission. We test every slab with calcium chloride or relative humidity probes. If moisture is present, we apply a vapour barrier before the first layer goes on. Skipping this step is the leading cause of commercial coating failure.

05

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Automotive fluids, brake cleaner, battery acid, hydraulic oil, industrial degreasers - commercial floors face chemicals that residential floors never see. We match the topcoat chemistry to your specific chemical exposure profile.

06

LOGISTICS

We work around your schedule, not the other way around. Phased installations, overnight work, weekend crews - whatever keeps your operation running. We plan the install sequence with your team before we show up with equipment.

COATING SYSTEMS

SYSTEMS WE USE ON COMMERCIAL JOBS.

Every system is available for commercial applications. The difference is in how we spec the prep, thickness, and topcoat for your specific environment.

FAST CURE

SOLID COLOUR POLYASPARTIC

Clean, fast, durable. Polyaspartic topcoat for warehouses and shops. Faster return to service than standard epoxy. Ideal for back-of-house and large open areas.

HIGH TRAFFIC

QUARTZ BROADCAST

Thicker, harder-wearing surface with natural slip resistance. The go-to for high-traffic commercial spaces, loading docks, kitchens, and wet environments. Handles forklift traffic.

MOST POPULAR

FLAKE SYSTEM

Full broadcast flake in auto shops and showrooms. Hides imperfections, resists hot tires and oil, and looks professional. Available in hundreds of colour combinations.

STATEMENT FINISH

METALLIC EPOXY

Poured thick and worked wet, metallic pigment creates a one-of-a-kind floor. Statement finish for retail, showrooms, and client-facing spaces. High-gloss with real depth.

OUR PROCESS

HOW A COMMERCIAL INSTALL WORKS.

Same fundamentals as residential, with additional steps for larger spaces and tighter schedules.

01

SITE ASSESSMENT

We visit your space, measure square footage, test moisture levels, assess the condition of the existing concrete, and discuss your traffic, chemical exposure, and timeline requirements.

02

SYSTEM SPECIFICATION

Based on the assessment, we recommend the right system, thickness, and topcoat. We provide a detailed quote with material specs, timeline, and phasing plan if needed.

03

SURFACE PREPARATION

Diamond grinding to CSP 3 profile with industrial dust-free equipment. We remove old coatings, adhesive residue, oil stains, and contaminants down to clean, bare concrete.

04

MOISTURE MITIGATION

Every commercial slab gets moisture tested. If levels are elevated, we apply a vapour barrier before any coating goes on.

05

COATING APPLICATION

Primer, base layer, broadcast or pigment, and UV-stable topcoat. For commercial jobs, we often apply additional layers for thickness and durability.

06

HANDOFF & WARRANTY

We walk the finished floor with you, provide care instructions, and confirm cure times before you put the space back into service. Every commercial job is backed by our standard warranty.

COMMERCIAL FLOORING FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS

How long does a commercial install take?

It depends on square footage and system. A 2,000 sq ft auto shop typically takes 2-3 days. A 10,000 sq ft warehouse may take 5-7 days, or we can phase it across multiple weekends.

Can we stay open during installation?

Yes, if we can phase the install. We section off the work area and move through your space in planned stages. Many commercial clients choose weekend or after-hours installation to avoid any disruption.

Will epoxy handle forklift traffic?

Yes. We spec thicker builds and harder topcoats for forklift and pallet jack traffic. Proper surface prep and moisture mitigation ensure the coating bonds and handles heavy rolling loads.

What about chemical resistance?

We match the topcoat chemistry to your specific exposure. Standard automotive fluids, degreasers, and cleaning chemicals are covered. For harsher chemicals, we specify a chemical-resistant system.

Is commercial epoxy slippery?

It does not have to be. Quartz broadcast systems provide high traction even when wet. For other systems, we add anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat based on your environment and safety requirements.

Do you handle large spaces (10,000+ sq ft)?

Yes. We have completed commercial installs over 10,000 sq ft. Larger jobs require phasing, material logistics, and cure schedule planning - but the system and quality standards are the same.
