System Overview

A Floor That Cannot Be Replicated Anywhere.

Metallic epoxy is a genuine decorative coating system where metallic pigment powders are suspended in high-build epoxy resin and shaped during installation. The movement of the material during application creates swirling, flowing patterns with real three-dimensional depth. Once the pigmented layer cures, a clear UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat locks in the depth and clarity of the finish permanently. Every metallic floor we install is unique. The specific pattern produced during your installation cannot be recreated on any other floor anywhere. This is a premium decorative system that performs with industrial-grade durability.

Installation Overview

Metallic epoxy is a three-day process and every day matters. Day one is dedicated entirely to diamond grinding, crack repair, and primer application. The slab needs to be perfectly prepared and fully cured before anything decorative touches it. Day two is the metallic layer — pigments are applied and shaped using squeegees and controlled airflow to create the desired pattern. Temperature and humidity are monitored throughout. Day three is the clear topcoat. The UV-stable polyaspartic goes on only after the metallic layer has fully cured, locking in the depth and clarity of the finish permanently. Rushing any stage compromises the result. We do not rush.

Metallic systems are installed during appropriate weather windows with moisture-mitigating primers on every slab. Diamond grinding ensures the mechanical bond holds through seasonal temperature extremes and freeze-thaw cycles.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does a flake epoxy install take?

Most residential garages take 1–2 days. Day 1 is prep and base coat, day 2 is topcoat. You can drive on it 24 hours after final coat.

What’s the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?

Epoxy is the base coat — it bonds to the concrete. Polyaspartic is the topcoat — it provides UV stability, abrasion resistance, and the final finish. You need both for a long-lasting floor.

Will it peel or yellow over time?

Not when it’s installed correctly. Peeling happens when prep is skipped or acid etching is used instead of diamond grinding. Our UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat won’t yellow under sunlight.

How do I pick a colour?

We’ll bring physical samples to your site visit so you can see them on your actual floor. You can also browse our colour gallery above to narrow it down before we meet.
