FROM BARE CONCRETE

Every floor follows the same 7-step system. No shortcuts, no skipped steps. Here is exactly what happens from the day we show up to the day you park on it.

TO BUILT TO LAST.

Step by Step

How Your Floor

Gets Built

Every floor follows the same process. No shortcuts, no skipped steps. Here’s exactly what happens from the day we show up to the day you park on it.

01

FREE QUOTE & SITE ASSESSMENT

We look at your space, talk through systems, and give you a real number. No pressure, no upselling. Same-week booking available.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Diamond grinding with a Werkmaster XT planetary grinder to CSP 3. Bartell HD1 HEPA dust extractor captures 99.97% of particulate in real time. No dust in your house. Every slab gets profiled — never acid etched.

03

MOISTURE TESTING

We test every slab with ASTM F2170 probes before any product goes down. If moisture exceeds 75% RH, we install a moisture vapor barrier (MVB) before anything else. This is what prevents blistering 2 winters in.

75% RH threshold
MVB when needed

PRIMER APPLICATION

Rockhard Fusion Primer seals the concrete pores, prevents outgassing (the cause of bubbles and pinholes), and creates a molecular bond with the base layer. Independent testing shows 925 PSI adhesion — the concrete breaks before the bond does. We prime every job. No exceptions.

BASE COAT & BROADCAST

100% solids epoxy base layer applied at 15-20 mils. For flake systems, we broadcast to rejection — throwing chips until no wet coating is visible. For metallic, we pour thick (20-40 mils) and manipulate the pattern by hand. For quartz, natural aggregate is broadcast into the wet base for maximum grip.

06

TOPCOAT APPLICATION

Two layers of UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The first coat (grout layer) fills voids between chips. The second coat builds the protective wear surface. This is what resists hot tires, road salt, and UV damage. We don’t rush this — each layer cures before the next goes on.

48-HOUR CURE & HANDOVER

Light foot traffic in 24-48 hours. Cars back in after 72 hours. We walk the floor with you, confirm everything looks right, and hand over care instructions. Built to look this good for 15+ years.
