A professionally installed flake epoxy floor is one of the most durable surfaces available for residential and commercial spaces. Every slab is prepared with diamond grinding to a CSP-2 profile, creating a mechanical bond that holds through decades of vehicle traffic, seasonal temperature shifts, and Calgary winters. The 100% solids epoxy base coat goes on dense and pore-free. Vinyl flake is broadcast by hand to full rejection, covering every square inch before the UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat seals the system permanently. The result is a floor that looks exceptional at ten years and performs just as well.
Every installation begins with diamond grinding to a CSP-2 profile. Cracks and defects are repaired with flexible epoxy filler and a penetrating primer is applied before the base coat. Flake is broadcast by hand in an upward arc until the surface reaches full rejection. Excess flake is removed, the surface is lightly profiled, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat completes the system. Most residential garage floors are ready for foot traffic the same day.

Epoxy is the base coat — it bonds to the concrete. Polyaspartic is the topcoat — it provides UV stability, abrasion resistance, and the final finish. You need both for a long-lasting floor.
Not when it’s installed correctly. Peeling happens when prep is skipped or acid etching is used instead of diamond grinding. Our UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat won’t yellow under sunlight.
