Quartz epoxy garage floor coating uses natural silica aggregate broadcast into a 100% solids epoxy base for maximum grip and compressive strength. Finished with a polyaspartic topcoat for UV stability and chemical resistance. Built for Calgary garages - freeze-thaw stable, lasting up to 15 years with proper preparation.
Why Quartz
Natural quartz aggregate creates a high-traction surface that doesn't quit - even under oil, water, or heavy foot traffic.
Stands up to oils, solvents, hydraulic fluid, and road salt. Ideal for any space with chemicals on the floor.
The quartz aggregate adds significant compressive strength. Designed for forklifts, lifts, and heavy equipment.
No grout lines, no joints - nowhere for bacteria, oil, or moisture to hide. Effortless to clean and sanitize.
UV-stable topcoat won't yellow or fade. Stays looking sharp in commercial and outdoor-adjacent spaces.
Quartz aggregate gives a rich, textured finish that looks premium - more refined than standard flake.
Quartz epoxy uses natural quartz aggregate instead of vinyl chips, creating a surface with significantly higher compressive strength and slip resistance than standard flake. The quartz particles are broadcast into the base layer and sealed under a clear UV-stable topcoat, producing a dense, textured finish built to handle concentrated loads, continuous foot traffic, and environments where chemicals are regularly on the floor.
The system starts with the same diamond grinding and moisture seal as all our installs - we don't skip prep for any system. After grinding and sealing, a primer and pigmented base layer go down, quartz aggregate is broadcast and locked in, and the entire surface is finished with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The result is a seamless, joint-free floor with no grout lines for oil or bacteria to settle into.
The quartz aggregate creates a natural anti-slip surface rated for wet, oily, and high-traffic environments - without an additive that wears off over time. It's the preferred system for mechanic bays, commercial kitchens, workshops, and any space where safety and durability matter more than aesthetics alone. Unlike vinyl flake, quartz holds up under concentrated point loads like jack stands, forklifts, and heavy equipment without compressing or marking.
Quartz epoxy installed over a properly prepared slab regularly lasts 15+ years in heavy commercial environments. Because quartz aggregate doesn't compress under load the way vinyl chip can, the surface stays flat and uniform through years of hard use. Long-term performance depends on preparation - diamond grinding opens the concrete profile and gives the system something real to bond to. That's where durability is built, not in the product alone.
